Eric and Céline run a wonderful, independent wine shop called Les Bouteilles in Valence, France. When they're not busy advising customers, organising wine tastings or initiating appreciation evenings, they enjoy nothing more than changing the colour of the shop's façade. It was green when I first visited.
So when they asked me to sign paint the shop name and description, doing it on detachable bits of wood was one of the key points. They also wanted it done in neutral colours - anthracite grey and gold - which would go well with whatever fancy takes them next.
