DISC'ORAMA - GRENOBLE
Julien runs Disc'orama, the only vinyl record shop in Grenoble.
Previously, the shop on rue Beyle Stendhal has been - judging from what was written on the existing supports - a hairdressers and an insurance agents. I particularly liked the chunky perspex plaques which displayed various services and had fun repainted them.
The main shop front sign was nearly 4m long and made of metal. We started washing it, but quickly turned to scouring powder and finally stripped off the old traces of glue with some evil solvents.
Fresh back from a Mike Meyer workshop, I was absolutely up for some block lettering and turned out the sign in a couple of days, mainly held up by the time taken for the oil-based paints to dry.
